DIY: Easter Basket

Last year, my easter blog post was how to make fabric eggs, so since then I've been wanting to make a fabric basket to put them in. So when I saw this post by Flossie Teacakes I was inspired! This project took me about 5 hours to make (quite leisurely, while watching chick flicks). I used a beautiful fabric bundle from Elephant in my Handbag.

Today I have a very cute project for you, this cute little pincushion jar. Any person who sews loves a good pincushion, am I right?! Yeah... I thought so. This pincushion jar would make a perfect gift for a friend or family member who loves to sew. fill it with buttons/pins or even a miniature sewing kit.

Wire Wrap Headband

Recently I've noticed that I'm totally loving gingham, when used for clothing I find it's the kind of thing you can dress up or down. It's very versatile and I'd also say it's unisex. One of the best things about gingham is that its CHEAP! I made my first wire headband to match my Gingham Skater Skirt (blog post coming soon), I picked up my gingham from Abakhan. I made two of these headband, one gingham one bird print. This was SUCH a quick and easy project, I'm going to make lots more of these in the future!

Easter: Fabric Eggs

We all love to decorate the house at Christmas time, so why not decorate at Easter too. Today's post is a fast, easy and cheap way to decorate your home this Easter. If you have lots of fabric scraps lying about then this is a great chance to use them. Other than decorating another great use for these eggs is for an Easter egg hunt, why not hide them? Whoever finds the most fabric eggs wins a chocolate egg! Or...all people who sew need cute pincushions, you can NEVER have too many pincushions!
